Has anybody installed Mopar's official Scat packs 1,2, or 3 packages for the 5.7. I'm thinking it would be nice to retain my warranty which is what is advertised with all three packages.

If someone has done a similar build with aftermarket parts I'm guessing the horsepower increases would be about the same. Wondering what the 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times would be with these packages.

There are plenty people who have done it on here. I have a 2017 Challenger rt and I'm planning on doing it as soon as the updated kits come out. Right now it only goes up to 2016 but you can get just the pcm for the 2017s though if you want. Id say if you want to keep your warranty the do it. I'm only going to do stage one because I can't do no higher due to California regulations smh.

I installed scat pack 1 and my 0-60 time dropped to low of 4.6 with an average of 4.7 from an average of 5-5.2, after scat pack 2 install my 0 -60 time is still at 4.7 but with a lot more tire spin from start well into 3rd and still get the same time .so it must be faster, now I just need to solve the traction issue to see how much .I still haven't taken it to the track maybe after I install a limited slip differential and some wider tires. hope this helps ya

I did one and two but changed my mind when the heads were 5K and the Supercharger was 12K and I still got a 3/36 powertrain warranty from Petty.

Yeah, I agree they are way over priced.. makes you really consider aftermarket parts. I thought about selling my car and buying a scat pack but I heard the insurance would be a lot more on a 6.4 than on a 5.7 challenger. Also I really like my car, they only made 42 2017 T/A plus in granite and only 5 optioned like mine. That's one reason I'm thinking about doing the 5.7 scat pack options it would keep it all mopar.

Stage 1 or 2 make sense. Stage 3 is kind of overpriced IMO. Like others have said, from a power standpoint, you're better off just jumping up to the next platform with the 6.4L.

These cars wake up nicely with a tune and light bolt ons though, which is essentially what stage 1 and 2 do. I think if you want to go beyond that the 392 is the better option.

I agree with this. I wouldn't spend all that money on a 5.7 and still come up short to the 6.4. You're better off with the 6.4/392 from the start.

but if the hp(450 ish ) with the scat pack kits is damn near what the 392 has to the rear wheel and its lighter in base rt, slightly in rt plus and insurance is cheaper and the 5.7 is a better motor for supercharging and its 10 + grand less, why not a 5.7 ? I never even considered a 392

I agree with stage III as not a good option and the exact reason why I chose a different path. That being said for a platform to modify the 5.7 truck engine (that is what we have) is a great platform to add mods to if you really want something different. Back in the day it was the truck engine 409 and 413 that made the power.

camshaft, valve springs, tie bar kit, heavy-duty pushrods, and an upper and lower gasket set.
also cam phaser, and extra seals and other stuff, mine was a seal kit for the whole engine, but you don't get the stage 2 pcm that's a extra $725 from arrow racing, vin coded to your car

Was all in on going to 2&3 when in the lower 48. After arriving in Alaska, my confidence in my local Dodge dealers is 20%. I am now going with header and mid pipe upgrades along with improved fuel injectors and rails.

You are right, your insurance goes up, monthly car payment goes up. I think the stage packages are worth it, you save money in the long run
i agree with you as well because they made these kits to withstand up 480 without any issues down the line. A guy i work with went to stage 3 on his 2016 charger RT and he uses it as his daily lol. Has been driving it for 2yrs now hasnt had any issues.
