Spiced up interior

So I have had my girl for a few months now and have been trying to come up with a way to add a little color to the all black interior. Not going crazy just an accent to spice it up a little. I have seen the piping and decided, sure why not. After getting it in I just didn't think it did enough. So after some time searching the web I came up with this trim idea. I saw some place out of Canada that did custom panels and I liked the concept but not the price. So I looked into dying, painting, stiching just about anything to tweak the look. I settled on colorbond, and it worked great. Really took my time and I think the results look pretty good. At the end of the day, I love it and that's all that should matter right? I've seen so much red, I just couldn't bring my self to do it and settled on hemi orange, because well it looks awesome. Thinking about door panels next, but it might be over kill.

I think orange piping on doors would look good but more than that would be too much IMO

that looks great. Just the right amount of accents to not be over bearing

Hey all, thanks for the feedback. So far so good on the durability. I drive it everyday and no signs of cracking or peeling. I got some of that vinyl piping for the doors but the color was really diffrent so still messing around with what to do on the doors. Definitely keeping with the less is more approach so I just might end up painting the stiching on the panels. Right now I'm just trying to convince my wife the solo exhaust is a "necessary" purchase.

I watched a video on YouTube of a Camaro owner who dyed all his stitches red using a sharpie. He tried several different ways, fabric pens, fabric dye and other methods.

With the sharpie, you just touch the stitch and it sucks the ink out into the stitch. To set the dye, use a vinegar and water mix.

So now, what are you going to do to relax, drill holes in the hood for hood pins?? :p
Oh, you're cold. REALLY cold!

One of the first mods I did was to add subtle led lighting to my engine bay (no, it's NOT blinky blinky lights). I installed a plunger switch so the lighting was always off until you opened the hood.

The manufacturer claimed the switch fit into a factory hole in the radiator bracing....it didn't.

A week after buying my car I found myself armed with a drill and carbide tip, staring at this hole that I had to make larger...

...I had that "performing surgery on myself" type feeling....
